Prayer Ministry

Rockbrook has a team of folks–our “prayer chain”–dedicated to praying for those who request it. Prayer requests may be made at any time. Just fill out a request form at worship, contact the church office, or fill out a prayer request form here. You may also place written requests in the prayer box in the narthex. Please let us know what level of sharing you prefer: pastor only, prayer chain only, listed in bulletin and eblasts, or announced in worship. Requests remain on the prayer list for 30 days.

Sunday Morning Adult Classes

Sunday classes meet during Education Hour, 9:30-10:30am, from Labor Day through June

New Media

Location: North Wing (lower level)
Facilitators: Jim & Nancy Phillips

Do you enjoy sharing, laughing, and socializing with others? Then this is the class for you! Using videos to provide a focal point for discussion, we enter into lively and challenging examinations of various social or spiritual topics as they relate to our own lives in a spiritual context.

Come and join us for an open-minded discussion, and some good laughter too!

Wired Word

Meets: Friendship Room (upper level)

This class provides meaningful discussions that take participants past head knowledge of the Bible into heart- and life-changing knowledge. Adult learners of all kinds will find this class fun and engaging, as well as a place to form lasting friendships. Newcomers to Rockbrook are welcome!

Parlor People

Meets: Parlor

Looking for a less structured context to catch up with old friends and make new ones? Consider joining an informal group of adults–our “parlor people”–who gather in the parlor during education hour (9:30 – 10:30am). Drink coffee, talk, or just hang out!

Women's Groups

Sisters

Location: Friendship Room
Facilitator: Nancy Phillips

Women of the faith and spirit gather to study scripture and spiritual topics with each other. Studies are six to eight week long, usually during fall, advent, and lent. We use new curriculum for each session, and we offer both in-person (daytime) and Zoom (evening) sessions.

United Women in Faith (UWF)

United Women in Faith is the official women’s organization of the United Methodist Church. The women of UWF follow three core values: faith, action, and sisterhood. We meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 1:30pm in the Friendship Room, and we welcome new members!
